This is the first lesson to get You Bagpipe Ready. We start out by helping the fingers of the top hand find those dang holes by playing the high part of the tune; "Cock O' The North".
Unfortunately, they never master the basics of the practice chanter. Mastery takes repetition. To stick with it, we need to be having fun.
I have been playing the bagpipes since I was 9 years old. Playing the pipes is second nature to me. I was humbled when I started learning to play the banjo as an adult. I'm telling you from one adult learner to another, if it ain't fun, we will find something else to do.
After you memorize your first tune, who knows what will be next?? You could go out and buy a set of pipes, join a band, or pay an instructor the big bucks.
My name is Alec Chisholm and I am here to help you GET BAGPIPE READY!
