Danny Boy, the pipes are calling! 

Surprisingly, Danny boy was one tune that I'd resisted learning for years, I've no idea why! Then I suddenly had to learn how to sing Danny Boy for a gig as well as play it on my Irish penny whistle. After my initial struggle to learn Danny Boy, I've now fallen in love with it! I'm always humming or singing it throughout the day haha! I'm very thankful for the requests to play Danny Boy on the bagpipes, as I'd never tried that before. Sure the bagpipe tunes can't do the tune as it's written with our 9 note range, but the parts we can do sound lovely indeed! This is a great tune for beginner bagpipers to learn. It's not to fast, the bagpipe melody is simple, and there are not many embellishments.  

I had a lot of fun creating this bagpipe tutorial and incorporating this traditional bagpipe tune into my piping repertoire.
