How Great Thou Art, a real tear jerker! 

Surprisingly, How Great Thou Art was one tune that I hadn't come across growing up, I've no idea why! This is a very common song for special ceremonies, especially for funerals.

Recently I was in the basement having a go at How Great Thou Art on my practice chanter... playing by ear and missing half the notes, when suddenly my wife came into the room, tears in her eyes, "I didn't know How Great Thou Art could be played on the bagpipes!" she says! Well, my goodness, I thought if she was that moved by my sad attempt on the practice chanter, just imagine how this song will move people if I play it on the pipes with all the right notes!

There are a few versions of bagpipe sheet music for How Great Thou Art floating around online, but I came up with my own version - how I like to play it. 

I had a lot of fun creating this bagpipe tutorial and incorporating this traditional bagpipe tune into my piping repertoire.
